"Hotties in speedos" take Panama City by storm
L to R -- Alex Woodard, Kendrick Gibson, J Bruhn, Coston Perkins, and Justin Yoho pose in front of the Ford sign at Ironman Florida.
PANAMA CITY -- On October 31, 2008, twelve triathletes from the University of Alabama opted to forgo the usual college Halloween parties in favor of a volunteer trip to Panama City's Ironman triathlon.
Once at the triathlon, on November 1, the five male triathletes donned speedos and jumped into PCB's 60-degree waters. They frolicked around for almost 2 hours, splashing each other, chasing girls, and posing in manly pictures. Passersby stopped and watched the happy scene unfold.
"We're hotties with great bodies," said club president Alex Woodard, in response to a question about his skimpy clothing choice. "And we're not afraid to show it."
"It's quite liberating," added J Bruhn, another club officer.
The female triathletes remained on the beach during this time to take pictures for future evidence.
Lets get ready for Spring!
Fall Tri season has sadly come to an end. Great job to everyone who went to races and represented the Alabama Triathletes! Congratulation to our guys who came out with a win at the SEC championships at Hickory Knob! Now is the perfect time for everyone to take a few weeks off, and get ready for some LSD (long slow distance) this winter! If anyone is interested in doing a full or half marathon, or training for a half ironman, talk to Kendrick, and he will hook you up with a plan.
